O, the incarnation
O, the laceration
That wraps around me
O, the things that haunt
Me, I sit with you because
You sit with me, your death
Has made a place, not in the
Synagogue or in the Decalogue
Of obedience to you, have you
Seated me in mercy, in truth,
In grace in this place, o, the
Incarnation for this nation,
O, this explanation: God near,
God we hear: beloved Son,
Risen one, O, the glory of
Your forgery, how you have
Formed me, how you conform
Me to your goodness,
Death will end this mess,
Only to begin with you,
O, please come, Lord!
