What is the difference between tolerance and acceptance? If love is such an emphasis( which it should be) then what is the difference between unconditional love with no strings attached and upholding righteous and Holy standards that apply to all of us?

Their seems to be this fine line as Christians that scripture urges us to use discernment as we walk as lights and as we are called to love everyone. I don’t think acceptance in God ever means we don’t change sinful habits. Ifthe emphasis on being yourself transcends being like God then the adage of being me simply becomes an idol. We can use being ourselves to justify not being like God. I think more so acceptance means that you see God so much in other people that you desire to be like the loving and kind people that you meet at church and you realize that changing your lifestyle is a must in living out redemption.
