1 Peter 4:2-5 so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. 3 For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. 4 With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; 5 but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”

Its just one of those days where( and it has happened more than just today) where I am so grateful for people. I have always erred on the side of thinking that bad theology is what causes people to fall away and stop going to church but in all reality it is more along the lines of our interactions with each other. We express what we know theologically to those around us and the community that we are tests and affirms that which God is doing in you and teaching You. So, more than just craving for better theology also ask for God to give you real friends that will run with you and that will make you feel like you can talk about God and life and are also able to have fun with them to–all of this is huge! Pursue healthy community!

I hear people all the time say that Jesus is all they need….but that is so not true. God’s creation wasn’t perfect until he made Adam someone else because he said it was not good for him to be alone. Also Christ is the head of the body and we are only one other part of it ( like the thumb) We need more than a head and a thumb to do anything. We need other people. COMMUNITY IS SO IMPORTANT. Thanks for this post.
