Today

For as long as I can remember. I have tried to be a writer. If you really want something future, call it what it is now. I am writing. I am a writer. I am fumbling through my life at times, and I am feeling disconnected from the present moment because I feel like my mind is somewhere else. The challenge is today. Today has a choice. How to spend time?

I just got the book Permission Marketing by Seth Godin. I am just getting into this guy now which feels like a silly thing to say. He starts off saying: Your time is valuable, and you are busier than ever. Everything is fighting for your attention. I can’t help but think that time is what holds you back because it can’t be controlled.

What you do with time? What do you do? You have to do something. You have to make choices everyday. Our world is much more saturated with seemingly great options, opinions, and contradictions.

Everything is just a click away. I still am choosing to be entertained. I am still choosing to spend Friday nights at movie theaters and sit for hours in coffee shops watching shows and writing about how they effect me. Time does mess with us. When you watch and you absorb you then feel this strong urge to do something. To act one what you have seen and to move forward.

Today is all you got before you get another today.

  1. I really love this quote of yours. “Today is all you got before you get another today.” Do you mind if I share it on my blog and of course credit it back to you?
