Interlude- Body

Body of yours,
This life of poise,
This world of noise.
This place I cover,
This place I hover,
Anger you stored up,
Wrath for the hungry,
Treasures for the lonely,
Are you telling me to stop,
Or are you telling me to stay?

Body of yours,
White and pale,
Snow and hail,
Rain and reign,
Are you still king?
Are you still the rearrange?

Cause we never had furniture,
Cause we worried about future,
Cause we needed new furniture,
Cause we can’t change future.

Seated on us,
Seated within us,
This life is poise,
This world of noise,
I am crying out and loud,
Time is going by,
Time is flying by,
Are you still as loud as you used to be?

Is noise what we need,
Or are you louder than you should be,
Is noise what you reign on in the rain,
Is this the last time I talk about things
I don’t do.

Tell me,
Body,
Body expand,
Body of land,
Don’t let this body fall apart.

Spin

My life be spinning in circles.
Risk is the theme and so is follow through.
Diplomacy is the skill but so is power
Love is the game but so is lust.
Rust is the result, but so is fat
And sorrow, and sad, and endless
Mad!
The sight of these eyes is not satisfied,
It is filled with lie!
So color me new,
Who am I trying to fool?
I am lost in the lust it takes
To call you mine–
One whisper of your name,
Drives me insane!

Shine Along

Nephews, people, family, work, traveling, saying goodbye to my best pal Benji( still friends though) and just getting back into editing because this Mac is BACK!

Shine Along should really end: To Be Continued. There will be more to express and more to digress. We are to fight for light. Fearfully and wonderfully made we are. We are all feeling the confusion with the election time. God holds the answers and we are His ambassadors.

L.A. Love

Slipstream in the middle of

The team huddle, in the middle

Of the football field, trying to

Yield to peace, but I want to win!

Cannot sneeze without Your blessing—

Those basement days of the star wars

Maze, Beastie Boys pounding as

I was hiding, mom never wanted

Dark to come in, I was the story lover,

The fledgling writer since birth,

Pink sheet said why are you unique

I said because there is only one of me—

In Christ all is found including yourself,

Not just your job—free falling playing

In the background, L.A. has some sunspots

On me, its city sinks into me—mission field

Love to yield, now truth to wield—

Someone to love goes the sound on

The Santa Monica Pier, is this the

Voice to hear? Lankershim with some

Roller skates, no more Chinatown

For Gittes and his spilt nose,

No more water hose for the

Grass is gonna dry up soon!

What is this city?

Where there is to much pretty

Where there is to much sun to

Steal, to much to keep real—

Love me in L.A. with some

Citified pride—lights in the night sky

Lights to guide me, one last time
